This is my Moondrop cosplay, and it took approximately 200 hours to complete from start to finish. It was a project that pushed me to improve both my technical skills and my attention to detail.

For Moondrop, I learned tambour embroidery so I could create the beaded appliqué stars for the pants and hat. This was a completely new skill for me, and it took a lot of practice to get the technique down. Throughout the build, I focused heavily on improving my detail work and sewing techniques. One of my favorite parts of the process was making the corset. I used traditional corset-making techniques, which helped improve both the structure and the overall silhouette of the cosplay.

One of the main things the cosplay contest judges mentioned was how crisp everything was. That was wonderful feedback. This cosplay taught me a lot and gave me new skills that I’ll carry into future projects.
